Japanese Art has a long history, and it is very rare that we get to see such a representation of historical works such as we did at “The Golden Journey”. The Art Gallery of South Australia put together works of art, covering many mediums, from the 12th to the 20th Century. The majority of the works were loaned by Australian collectors.
James Bennett and Amy Reigle Newland, curators at AGSA, published a book under the same title as a pre-cursor to this exhibition. Copies are still available form the AGSA bookshop, it is a must have publication for Japanese Art collectors and enthusiasts.
